Angela Lopez

A self-taught dancer, Angela Lopez later trained with companies such as Pilobolus and Push Physical Theatre, as well as acclaimed artists such as Tina Landau and Stephen Koplowitz. She has directed, choreographed, taught, and lectured at universities and theaters all over California, and opened an original opera she directed in New York City. In 2013 she founded Post Mortem Movement Theater and has been creating new works with them ever since. She recently won a grant to study in Spoleto, Italy with top directors and choreographers, and won a full scholarship to the British American Drama Academy (BADA), where she studied under John Barton and Fiona Shaw. She received on her MFA in Theatre Directing at UCLA.
